Canon's debut in the full-frame mirrorless arena is an expensive pro tool with the widest range of photo and video capabilities. The camera features a 30MP full-frame image sensor with Dual Pixel technology for fast, quiet and smooth focus. There are a record number of focus points in the assets of the model — 5655 pcs. Notably, they are sensitive in low light down to -6 EV. The sensitivity range of the camera's matrix is measured from 100 to 40,000 ISO in standard mode, expandable to ISO 50-102400.
The model allows you to conduct burst photography at up to 8 fps, recording 14-bit RAW files. Video shooting on the Canon EOS R kit 24-105 is carried out in resolution up to 4K (3840x2160 pixels) with a frame rate of 30 fps. It also provides the ability to record clips in 4:2:2 10-bit to an external recorder. For sighting in the process of working with the camera, an electronic viewfinder or a touch screen that rotates in all axes is used. But the matrix stabilization of the mirrorless was “not brought up”, as well as the second slot for a memory card. The model uses the RF-mount. This camera package provides equipment out of the box with a kit lens with a universal set of focal lengths of 24-105 mm and a constant aperture throughout the entire f/4 zoom range.

I bought it spontaneously - a new camera was sold after one day in operation for 60% of the cost. The previous owner bought a camera for video reporting, but after one day of work he realized that the camera did not suit him. I was tempted by the price for a new camera, I thought that if I didn’t like it, I could sell it without loss. After several days of use, the camera was put up for sale again, but after several months in the store I took it back. I use it only for photos. Mixed feelings, see below. Good autofocus after updating the firmware to 1.4. Confident work in low light, good image quality at low ISO. Good viewfinder, swivel touchscreen. A quality thing, it fits well in the hand, with the adapter lenses for Canon SLR cameras work like native ones. Unique and insanely expensive native lenses. With native firmware, autofocus is weak, especially autofocus on the eyes. After firmware 1.4, it became much better, like a different camera. Unusual control after other SLR and non-SLR cameras, there is no familiar shooting mode switch, dedicated ISO, WB buttons, exposure compensation, drive mode, etc. That is, all these functions are present in the camera and you do not need to go to the camera menu to control them, but everything is implemented through different function buttons, which requires study and takes longer. The first time you will break your head for sure. In this camera, all controls are implemented in a completely different way, you will not be able to work with this camera paired with another SLR, for example. Poor jeep, with 100% zoom, a rough picture even at minimum ISO, the jeep matrix does not convey color nuances. Only conversion from RAW, where the situation is better, which results in the following drawback. Large RAW files, large video files - processing photos and videos requires a powerful computer. ,4 with stabilizer and no mirror in the camera. Payback for 30 megapixels. Mounting the rotary screen raises concerns and doubts about its durability. Price. Very expensive native lenses, fortunately lenses from Canon SLR cameras work like native lenses through an adapter.
