— exercise to abduct the hip to the side or back under load. The specific embodiment depends on the type of simulator. So, in glut machines, which were originally created for such an exercise, the thigh is retracted back (for more details, see "Type"); the load goes mainly to the buttocks, most of these simulators are designed to work out this muscle group in isolation (although there are models that allow you to noticeably load the calf and posterior femoral muscles as well). In multi-hips, lateral (lateral) hip abduction is often provided with a straight leg; it has a similar purpose, and by changing the position of the legs, you can change the specific areas of the gluteal muscles, which account for the greatest load. And among the fitness stations you can find models with devices that allow you to train both legs in this way at once — two stops that are bred to the sides due to the movement of the hips.
