Lightweight, open-back over-ear headphones with signature Koss sound—rich bass, rich mids, and crystal clear highs. The earcup mounts on the model are designed in such a way that they can move freely and adapt to the shape of the listener’s head. The flexibly adjustable headband is also responsible for a comfortable fit of the stereo headset. 60-ohm Koss KPH30i speakers with extended frequency spectrum coverage from 15 Hz to 25 kHz are configured to work with most players in mobile gadgets.
The headphones are connected in one and only classic way - using a built-in 1.22-meter-long audio cable via a mini-Jack connector (3.5 mm). The wire is sharpened in a rubberized winding, which gives it additional mechanical strength. Directly on the cable was a headphone control panel with a built-in microphone, functions for adjusting the volume and switching audio tracks. You can also manage calls from it (pick up the phone or reject a call).

In search of a replacement for Porta Pro that went through fire, water and copper pipes (they served for 10 years and only after the first breakdown of the case - the cable clamp on the drivers, I decided not to fix it) I ran into one of the stores to listen live. We got Sennheiser PX 100 II, JBL T500 and Koss Porta Pro as a reference. Sennheiser obeyed first and seemed better than the scythes, but when the hearing adjusted to the volume, there was almost no difference. So between senkhs and braids, the choice is solely in appearance and the convenience of landing on the head, to each his own. When I put on JBL, I felt all the delights of ergonomics which are not there, instant discomfort (my ears are of normal size). In terms of sound, it’s generally put out the light, everything is mumbling, everything is mixed up, there is no scene - the impression is that the head is directly in this tiny earpiece and the sound comes through the concrete wall. Any plugs from Sony or Philips for $ 10 play better, for all their shortcomings. As a result, for a change, I took Koss KPH30i (I trusted the review on YouTube), they play a little better than Porta Pro, the ergonomics are excellent, the cable is generally from a higher price category, you can always get warranty service. Of the minuses - it's hot in the ears, hotter than the port pro and senhi, since the ear is completely covered. The sound is better than the Porta Pro - more highs, deeper bass, overall more balanced. Appearance - modestly but with style, it is a pity that I did not find a rhythm version for sale. Ergonomics are super-very light, they stay on the head perfectly and without discomfort. A comfortable silicone damper instead of the Porta Pro metal brace, which constantly strives to pull out hair and attach a couple of pimples to the top of the head due to constant skin contact with cold metal. Removed the main jamb of Porta Pro - all joints adjacent to the driver are silicone, there is no more rattling of the hinges and the sound of a rustling cable, as if it does not exist at all. A guarantee of a healthy person (unfortunately, the Senkhs were discontinued, they also have good ears). Price. For a non-remembering cable, you have to pay for a non-aligning cable for a long time after unpacking :) For the best bass and soundproofing, you have to pay with heat - the ear is completely covered. Everyone hears your music, quite loudly. They do not fold (but unlike Porta Pro, they are comfortable to wear around the neck). Віталій: use Koss KPH30i less than month |
