A visual comparison table of laptop chargers will allow you to compare the accessories in our review. If you want to choose a model yourself, then more laptop chargers are collected in the profile section of the general catalog.

Important! Before purchasing a laptop charger, you should make sure it is compatible with your laptop. Firstly, even the presence of USB Type C in a laptop does not mean that this port allows you to charge its battery. In some models, its functionality is “reduced”, and the power connector is unidirectional, that is, it only works for output. Secondly, you need to check the power parameters of your laptop. In general, charging at 65 W is sufficient in many cases, especially for ultrabooks, models for study, office work, etc. Let's say 30 W is enough for Apple MacBook Air 2022, while 67 W provides fast charging. But with powerful gaming laptops there may be some nuances, although even here you shouldn’t be alarmed ahead of time by the high declared power parameters, which sometimes exceed 200 W. These are the maximum figures, and more modest chargers are usually suitable for recharging - just the charging process may take longer. In such situations, it is recommended to verify compatibility in practice.

The Xiaomi brand mains charger is an accessory that uses gallium nitride as semiconductors. Thus, the GaN model is capable of offering high charging speeds (power up to 65 W), but is characterized by small dimensions. Thus, Xiaomi 65W GaN 1A1C is a truly compact charger (82x32x31 mm), almost no different from typical adapters for smartphones.

GaN transistors, among other things, made it possible to place two connectors on the body at once. There is both USB A and USB C, which means you can power a couple of gadgets at the same time. Type C provides a peak power of 65 W, which is enough to power a variety of laptops, including MacBook Pro and Mi Notebook. Classic USB outputs up to 18 W. By the way, when two ports are used simultaneously, the power parameters drop quite a bit - a total of 60 W with a distribution of 45+15 W.

A complete USB C cable is also offered. It claims to support high current (up to 5 A), that is, it should not reduce power throughput.

For the money, the Xiaomi 65W GaN 1A1C is an excellent charger for laptops and mobile devices.

GaN charging of the Hoco brand can be classified as high-speed solutions at the junction of the entry-level and mid-price segments. The model is made in a white case of a relatively small size (103x36x32 mm) and is equipped with three ports - a regular USB and a couple of Type C: all of them can be used to power several devices in parallel.

Despite its compactness, the Hoco N16 Scenery connectors are quite well spaced from each other, that is, there should be no inconvenience when connecting wires. In addition, there was a place nearby for an LED operation indicator, and the package prudently included a USB C cable with a throughput of up to 100 W.

The network charger can work with “various” fast charging technologies. The list of supported standards includes Power Delivery 3.0, Quick Charge of different generations, and Samsung and Huawei protocols. As a result, the list of devices whose battery recharge will not take much time is really large.

Speaking about power characteristics, it is worth saying that the first Type C produces 65 W, which is optimal for the average laptop. The second USB C has a power of up to 33 W, and the classic USB - up to 30 W: both separately are enough for ultrabooks (or simple office laptops) and for current smartphones. When using two or three connectors simultaneously, the total power indicators will be more modest, dropping to 63 and 60 W, respectively.

Hoco N16 Scenery is a practical accessory for a laptop and parallel charging of mobile devices.

4 ports, including three Type C, support for numerous fast charging protocols.

Charging from the Ugreen brand is based on GaN transistors and is equipped with 4 connectors at once - three USB C and one USB A. All of them, if necessary, can be used simultaneously, allowing you to do without, for example, tees.

Ugreen CD224 is characterized by high versatility; it can work with Apple laptops, Dell, Asus, Lenovo laptops, almost any smartphone and tablet PC, small equipment, such as wireless headphones. It is also stated that there is an intelligent protection system that prevents overloads, excessive heating, short circuits, etc.

The dimensions of the accessory are 65x65x33 mm, which is comparable, for example, to the Apple Power Adapter 67W, which has only one port. The only drawback of the model is its considerable weight compared to its analogues - 280 grams.

The charger supports fast charging standards, not limited to PD and Quick Charge 4.0+. The model is also “compatible” with Huawei and Samsung protocols, which expands the range of devices whose charging process will be really fast.

The USB C pair above individually outputs up to 65 W peak power, while the bottom Type C delivers 18 W and USB A delivers 22.5 W. When using two ports simultaneously, the total throughput drops to 63 W, three - to 54, and all four - 51 W. That is, even at full load, the charging process will not be the fastest, but also not downright slow (almost 13 W on average).

Ugreen CD224 is a great choice for charging several devices at once if there are few outlets and there is no desire to use tees.

The 2023 debutant from the BASEUS brand is a GaN charger in the mid-price segment. The model is available for sale in both black and white. The accessory has quite adequate dimensions (for its three connectors) 107x36x32 mm and is notable for the presence of an LED operation indicator on one of the sides of the case. A USB C cable is also included in the package.

BASEUS GaN5 Pro 65W can be used to power modern laptops, because there are two Type C, each of which individually has an output power of 65 W. The third connector of the model is a classic USB. Since the charger supports a variety of fast charging standards, including QC4+, AFC, BC1.2, PE and others, even this port provides up to 60 W when used alone. For example, it is stated that the Apple iPhone 12 Pro will charge the charger halfway in just 25 minutes.

When using the first UBC C together with any other port, the total output will be 63 W (45+18). In practice, such characteristics are well suited, for example, for a tandem of an ultrabook and a smartphone. When all 3 connectors are used, the total output power drops to 60 W, but Type C1 will still “hold” 45 W. Such operating parameters at maximum load look quite decent, especially taking into account the price of the accessory.

BASEUS GaN5 Pro 65W is a balanced memory with three connectors, high power per port and small drawdowns when using all three at once.

Three-port charging from the Samsung brand is positioned as a universal accessory. It will allow you to power a variety of devices, from laptops with Power Delivery to small devices such as smart headphones, fitness bracelets, gamepads, etc.

Samsung EP-T6530 is independently tested and certified for safety. A multi-level protection system is implemented here, which eliminates short circuits, overheating and other overloads, and also ensures silent operation.

The USB C1 connector provides an output power of up to 65 W (maximum current 3.5 A), which makes it possible to quickly power the batteries of various modern laptops. The peak power of Type C2 is a more modest 25 W, so this port can be considered optimal for smartphones. Classic USB A “produces” 15 W, standard by today’s standards, so it is advisable to use it for devices with a relatively small battery capacity (including wearable gadgets). When 3 connectors are used simultaneously, the total power parameters will also be 65 W with a distribution of 35 + 25 + 5 W.

You can count on peak performance with a wide range of devices thanks to support for both proprietary fast charging protocols (Adaptive Fast Charging and Super Fast Charging) and popular standards - PD 3.0 and Quick Charge 3.0.

Samsung EP-T6530 is a good charger that can interest not only fans of the South Korean brand’s technology.
