Balanced performance, light weight, full tang design, versatility, titanium coated blade.
Not detected.

The camping knife has balanced characteristics that provide it with excellent durability. Blade length of 93 mm is optimally combined with a thickness of 4.3 mm. It is worth noting the low total weight for such parameters - 146 g. Given the full tang design, which implies a steel core right up to the end of the handle, the knife stands out for its high resistance to breakage under loads at any angle. They can plow the ground, sharpen wooden pegs, cut branches of medium thickness, open cans. Safe operation with both lateral and transverse loads is assumed.

The whole range of materials used indicates the professional orientation of the knife. The blade is made of stainless steel (Sandvik 12C27 brand, Sweden) and treated with a titanium coating. The blade retains its premium appearance for a long time, the matte finish protects against scratches and corrosion. The hardness of the steel is 58 HRC on the Rockwell scale. The handle is based on plastic with the addition of fiberglass for plasticity and nylon for a secure grip. The knife lies confidently in the hand, so it is suitable for hiking, tourism, hunting and fishing in any weather. The manufacturer also offers a comfortable cordura sheath. The material is durable due to the use of twisted nylon fibers and is often used in military equipment. Additional polyurethane impregnation provides water-repellent properties.

It's safe to say that Boker Plus Outdoorsman from Germany is a good helper in any situation. The drop-point blade profile and smooth blade are easy to sharpen and versatile in use.

Titanium coated blade, full tang design.
Big weight, little strength.

A camping knife with a Polish character belongs to budget class goods. But this is one case where cheap doesn't mean bad. The design is based on a titanium-coated 3CR13 steel blade. High-temperature hardening provides good strength (56 HRC), but ultimately the steel is not ductile and does not cope well with dynamic loads. The use of a full tang construction significantly increases the strength properties, but it is better not to test it with lateral bending loads. The large weight of 290g makes it a good chopping tool, although it will be more convenient to carry such a burden in a backpack rather than on a belt. The spear-point blade profile and the length of 145 mm focus on piercing and cutting effects, which can be especially useful for tourists, hunters and fishermen.

The use of natural wood(bamboo) in the manufacture of the handle allows you to achieve comfortable tactile sensations. NEO Tools 63-110 can be actively used not only for tourism and hiking, but also for home use. The total length of 250 mm allows you to prepare products both at home and in the field kitchen, providing a full range of possibilities - cleaning and cutting vegetables, fruits, piercing and opening cans, butchering meat, fish. The smooth blade stays sharp for months and is easy to work with, while the matte finish makes it visually appealing.

Overall, the knife is ready for camping and fishing trips, can perform most of the necessary tasks and is safely transported in a fabric sheath.

High strength, thick blade, multifunctional sheath, glass breaker, versatility of use, heat-resistant materials.
Big weight.

Ganzo G8012V2 belongs to the eighth generation of brand knives and is focused on the most extreme conditions. This is also evidenced by the equipment, which significantly expands the functionality. The main trump card can be considered a sheath made of durable plastic. They are equipped with a fire pit, a rope and net cutter, and a blade sharpener. Left alone with the wild, the chances of survival will be much higher with the Ganzo G8012V2-OR. The kit also comes with a paracord for attaching the knife to a belt or backpack. A rope with a special weave is durable, eliminating the loss of equipment while overcoming difficult sections of the path - rafting on the river, climbing rocks. There is a glass breaker on the handle, which can be used for breaking car glass in case of an accident, crushing ice, opening nuts and crushing rocks, grinding solid products.

The blade is made of 8CR13 steel, which is very common in this field of goods. It has an increased hardness of 58 HRC, and in combination with a blade thickness increased to 5 mm, the user gets a reliable universal tool. It is logical that all this affects the weight, which reaches 349 g. The scope is extensive - hunting, fishing, tourism, diving, all kinds of extreme sports, hiking in the forest for survival. The ABS handle is serrated on both sides for a secure grip when wet. All components of the knife are heat-resistant, so they retain their integrity under the influence of elevated temperatures and even with short contact with fire.

With the popular drop-point profile and smooth blade, the knife is easy to maintain, keeps sharp for several months and is ready for the long test. The manufacturer offers several options for handle colors - orange (OR), light green (LG), gray (GY), black (BK).

Versatility, reliability.
Price, difficult to sharpen.

Before you is a classic field knife, made in the traditional style of the Swedish manufacturer Mora. There are no decorations, decorative elements or additional functions here - harsh (one might even say Nordic) functionality and only practical elements. This is a Scandinavian knife of a universal form, which can be used both to sharpen a tent peg and to skin game caught on a hunt. The only criticism is a rather impressive price tag, because even the metal here, albeit good (stainless steel Sandvik 12C27), is very common, and does not belong to the class of top knife steels. So there is a slight overestimation of the cost just for the brand.

An interesting feature that brings the model closer to hiking tools is observed on the butt. Actually, this part of the blade is not processed, and is quite wide and angular. This is done to use the butt as an armchair. Yes, with it you can easily strike a spark from a suitable material, and light a fire in the absence of matches or a lighter.

The cutting edge also has a distinctive feature - a micro-inlet. This is an additional sharpening line above the main one, necessary to increase the angle of the sharpened edge. On the one hand, this technology allows you to keep the factory sharpening longer. On the other hand, it significantly complicates the process of self-improvement of sharpness. First you have to sharpen the main blade, and then bring out this micro-inlet, and doing it manually is not easy.

In fact, this is a classic knife from Mora, with a slight bias towards field use. The blade, hilt and scabbard are standard for the product of this brand, and can boast of a fairly high quality.

Versatility, reliability, design, skinner.
No significant deficiencies were found.

The model is initially positioned as a hunting knife. It's built to handle any job that animal shooting enthusiasts might face. Indeed, with the help of a blade, you can set up a camp, and skin the prey, and open a can of stew, and even butcher the carcass, including the bones. The blade made of S30V steel (one of the best for knives) and a comfortable handle help in this. In fact, in front of you is a classic camping knife with which you can chop, cut and prick.

The main thing to note is the presence of special stops for using the knife when skinning. Firstly, there are notches on the handle for a side grip. Secondly, additional notches on the blade near the tip. The descents of the cutting edge are straight and the convergence is narrow enough to cut effectively. At the same time, the blade cannot be called thin or light, but rather massive and wide, which also helps with skinning.

The handle is made of plastic with a clear non-slip texture, a wide guard and notches along the entire length. It lies comfortably in the hand, and it is difficult to drop it even when cutting the carcass, and getting blood, fat or other substances on the handle. The same can be said about water - even when fully immersed, the blade does not slip. The blade, by the way, is not afraid of moisture at all.

The design was assembled according to the fulltang system, i.e. The handle is simply pressed onto the blade shank. This makes it almost impossible to break the knife. And note the steel bulges on the upper edge of the handle. They are part of the shank and form a beautiful ridge that makes the look of the knife stylish and eye-catching. This element can also be used as an additional finger rest, although the edges of each scallop are well licked.
