At one time, gamers fell in love with Zalman products for its unformatted cooling systems and beautiful computer cases, thanks to which the brand was in the position of "not like everyone else" for a long time. However, in the middle of the two thousandth, problems fell on the company and it practically disappeared from the east european market. And at the end of the last decade, Zalman found the ground under its feet and released a rather interesting line of low-cost Wattbit power supplies, actually restarting its game from the first difficulty level.

Most of the Wattbit power supplies presented belong to the initial price segment and compete with Chinese power supplies from Aerocool and Deepcool. The most popular option in this line for several years has been Wattbit XE power supplies with a capacity of 400 to 600 watts. They are equipped with high-quality heat-resistant capacitors, provide stable power through two +12V lines and guarantee the safety of the system thanks to the support of double direct conversion technology and the availability of all necessary protective measures (OVP, UVP, SCP, OPP). The efficiency is 83%, but there is no quality certificate on board, which made it possible to reduce prices extremely.

Wattbit XE models were in particular demand when assembling entry-level gaming computers. Gamers liked high-quality electronics by the standards of low-cost models, quiet coolers and generally high quality performance, when the unit itself does not hum, the throttles do not whistle, and the system does not consume extra energy just like that. Therefore, in 2021, Zalman hastened to update the series by releasing a second version of Wattbit. Due to the lack of quality certificates and the non-modular structure of cables, prices remained at the same affordable level, but the circuitry slightly improved, the mains filter was modified, the cooling system became a little quieter and the capabilities of the main power line expanded.
