After the purchase of JBL by the Korean giant Samsung (through Harman International Industries), this big-name auto manufacturer has lost some of its former luster in the world of professional audio. In 2020, JBL decided to rectify this and launched a new series of expensive, fancy and high-end JBL Club on-ear headphones, which, according to the company, were inspired by the experience of “traveling DJs”. The emphasis in the new series is on sound quality and sound presets sewn into memory with settings from popular DJs like Armin Van Buuren or Nicky Romero.

The diamond in the crown is the JBL Club One headphones with high-end dynamic drivers, graphene membranes and an advanced True Adaptive Noise Cancelling active noise cancellation system, which, according to the company's engineers, tightly muffles ambient sounds even in the train and subway. As befits expensive headphones, JBL Club One is made of high-quality materials, equipped with reliable metal hinges and a comfortable leather headband. The icing on the cake is almost 50 hours of uninterrupted music on battery power.

As for the younger models, they are made in a similar way, but a little simpler and more affordable. For example, the JBL Club 950NC has a simpler built-in noise reduction, while the JBL Club 700BT does not have it at all. But they look just as solid, they sit just as comfortably on the head, they play “beautifully” and are equipped with detachable cables. In addition, in 2021, JBL released JBL Club Pro + True Wireless headphones with pumped noise reduction, good battery life and excellent sound. In the Western press, they were called "Apple AirPods competitor for music lovers."
