Storage combined
— storage water heaters using a combined heating method.All storage-type heaters have a tank in which heated water is collected and its temperature is maintained. As hot water is consumed, cold water is added to the tank, heating up to the desired temperature. Thus, the water heater allows you to constantly have a certain supply of hot water on hand, and you can supply several points of water intake from such a unit at once. The disadvantages of storage heaters are rather large dimensions and heavy weight, a limited supply of water and a long heating time after the tank is empty.
As for the combined heating method, it combines two types of heating elements — electric and indirect. For more information about each of them, see the relevant paragraphs. Here we note that the main heating in such devices is carried out indirectly, and when the heat exchanger does not have enough capabilities, an electric element is connected. This allows you to combine the advantages and partly compensate for the disadvantages of both types. So, combined water heaters consume noticeably less energy than purely electric ones, while they do not depend on external heaters as much as indirect ones. The main disadvantages of such devices are the high cost and complexity of installation due to the need to connect to heating systems (the latter, however, also applies to purely indirect models).
