Hellhound from the Taiwanese PowerColor brand is one of the few graphics card lines that exclusively features Radeon models, and instead of the familiar GTX 1060/2060/3060, anyone can purchase alternatives in the face of the Radeon RX 6600 or RX 6700 XT.

PowerColor has a peculiar naming approach that shouldn't be taken too seriously. For example, Hellhound in translation from English means "Hellhound". Although in reality these cards are more of an average level with an emphasis on efficient cooling and improved quality of power circuits. Usually, the design of the cooling system uses direct contact technology with a copper and nickel base, which provides much more efficient heat dissipation compared to reference samples.

At the same time, the Hellhound power subsystems use a hybrid power scheme made according to the formula 8 + 2 or 5 + 2 phases, with additional DrMOS voltage regulators. The third feature of this series was the use of proprietary quiet fans using durable double bearings. Thanks to this, models of the Hellhound series are slightly noisy, heat up much weaker than reference Radeon samples, hold frequencies better during core auto-zone, and are more supportive of manual overclocking.

Thanks to this approach, the conditional Hellhound RX 6700 XT may be a good choice for running games in 2K resolution. Fortunately, 12 GB of video memory is just enough to move from Full HD to a higher resolution. And the low noise level during active work will delight fans of quiet assemblies.
