Compact stationary network UltraHD/4K media player of the second generation based on Android TV with support for HDR and high-speed wireless data transmission in two bands (2.4/5 GHz). The manufacturer is positioning it as an affordable mid-price product that can turn any LCD TV into a full-fledged entertainment complex with developed SMART functionality. It differs from the first generation model in its more powerful Amlogic hardware platform, which includes a 4-core S905X4 (Cortex-A55) processor, 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB of high-speed eMMC 5.0 permanent memory.
Thanks to this equipment and the updated Android TV 11 operating system, the Xiaomi Mi Box S 2nd Gen network media player is capable of decoding and displaying high-quality video with a resolution of up to 3840x2160 (up to 60 fps) with support for extended dynamic range using HDR10 Plus and Dolby Vision technologies . Improved 10-bit color depth significantly improves picture detail, which has a very positive effect on the realism of the image. To receive a variety of network content, the player easily connects to network resources (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, online cinemas, IPTV) over the air. Playback of local files from USB Flash/HDD drives is also supported. Wireless image transmission technologies Miracast, Google Cast and DLNA are supported.
