Advantages:
I use it in conjunction with Sony Alpha SLT-A57 Pros: Silent and fast autofocus in video mode Sharp at f/2.8 Good color rendering Aperture Flaws:
Tight zoom ring. When shooting video, you won't be able to zoom smoothly. Dust. After 2 years of rare use, it picked up a lot of dust, although the manufacturer declared dust protection. There is a slight play between the lens and the body; this doesn’t really matter when shooting photos, but when shooting videos it’s a minus. And the most important drawback is that after a year of use, very small white dots appeared in a group. ATTENTION - inside the front lens!!! That is, THIS IS NOT DUST, there is some kind of technological defect that arises over time in this particular model. I read that the same dots appeared in 2 other owners of this lens. Not a pleasant gift from such a reputable company as SONY
I also forgot to write, a year later a front focus appeared, although initially it was not there. At Sony's SC they corrected it a little (sent it to Moscow)
