A remarkable model in the shelf of mid-sized 4K TVs with advanced smart functionality. Its distinguishing feature in appearance is the intelligent backlighting system Ambilight (Philips proprietary solution). With the help of coloured LEDs, the wall behind the TV is painted in the colour that is the main one on the corresponding side of the screen. In addition to creating a wow effect, the backlight provides a visual increase in the size of the picture and distracts attention from the frames around the 43-inch display.

Image processing is occupied by the second generation Philips P5 Perfect Picture processor. Also for the Philips 43PUS8505 screen is "registered" support for common specifications for extended dynamic range technology — HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. As an operating system, the model runs Android TV 9 Pie with integrated voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The TV panel has all the necessary interfaces for connecting external video sources, an "omnivorous" on-board tuner supporting DVB-T2, DVB-C and DVB-S/S2 broadcast standards, built-in Dolby Atmos acoustics.

good model, I liked it

They chose the boss for a gift, everyone wanted Samsung or Ski, but I insisted on this Philips. As a result, no one later regretted, and the chef was very pleased. At the very same hedgehog, the third Philips hangs in the kitchen, in a couple of years, when I change the TV in the bedroom, I will also take something similar. Since I connected this TV myself, I will share my impressions. The style and look of the TV is very chic, it looks like it is made of aluminium, the remote is multifunctional but a bit big and only one button is backlit. The sound and picture are on top, not worse than other manufacturers of the above-average class. Android is full-fledged, set up a bunch of official applications and not only, everything flies. Wi-Fi 5 and very fast. Separately, the Ambilight backlight commands respect, it’s really a stylish and necessary feature, it has a lot of settings. In short, this TV did not disappoint, and since I often go there, I will share my impressions.
