For work and leisure
The Patriot Viper V765 is a de jure gaming keyboard based on Kailh Red Box mechanical switches, but de facto it is also great for frequent typing of large volumes of text. The "red" variety of Kailh microswitches has a smooth 3.6mm linear travel, a moderate actuation force of 50 grams, and no loud click. The Box index means dust and water protection according to the IP56 standard, which extends the life of the switches from the standard 50 million clicks to as much as 80 million.
Tanks are not afraid of dirt
The body of the Viper V765 is made from durable yet lightweight aircraft-grade aluminium. Keycaps, of course, are removable for easy cleaning of switches, for example, from cookie crumbs eaten right at the computer. The IP56 protection standard does not provide the ability to wash the keyboard under running water, but it will survive half a glass of accidentally spilled liquid without any problems. There are also many glow profiles implemented: from soft single colour to RGB disco with 16.8 million colours.
Orthopedic stand
The palm rest of the Viper V765 is removable, and not on tight latches, but with a convenient magnetic mount. Given the considerable height of the keys, you should definitely not neglect the stand so that your wrists do not get tired even after many hours of working crunches or gaming sessions. Anti-Ghosting and N-Key Rollover technologies allow you to press at least all the keys at the same time (for comparison, simple office keyboards read only five keys at the same time).
Light and music
You can customize the Viper V765's lighting to your liking using the Viper Software app. Macros can be programmed directly from the keyboard, without any additional software. For comfortable control of music and video playback, four dedicated player buttons and a metal volume roller are provided. In addition to the linear red switches, there is a version of the Patriot Viper V765 with a clicky Kailh White Box, as well as a more affordable Viper V730 model with a quiet but tactile Kailh Brown.
