Released at the end of 2018, this Patriot Burst has become a truly popular SATA 3 SSD. This is one of the most affordable solid state drives you can find on the market, it is only slightly more expensive than regular hard drives, but at the same time 5 to 6 times faster than them. The Phison PS3111-S11 controller, popular in the low-cost segment, allows the drive to demonstrate speeds of up to 560 MB / s when reading and 540 MB / s when writing.
Full order with I / O operations: the manufacturer claims about 60,000 IOPS for writing and 60,000 IOPS for reading. The Patriot Burst PBU480GS25SSDR SSD itself is made in a 2.5-inch form factor, has a standard thickness (7 mm), so it can be installed both in new systems and for upgrading existing ones. For example, replace the memory in a laptop. The manufacturer declares a guaranteed recording resource of 425 TB and gives a proprietary three-year warranty.

may have a problematic controller, after ceasing to appear in the dispatcher as a Patriot, they replaced it under warranty, but after 1 month original ssd undesirable |
Excellent SSD, 480 GB* That's it, the speed is as indicated (it must be borne in mind that the speed may not be much less than + -10%, this is the norm, it will not be exactly 540mb, I have 520 mb), Windows starts up in 10 seconds, I'm happy, cheap and cheerful They don't exist use Patriot Memory PBU480GS25SSDR few months |
I am writing an appeal to those people whose SSD died after 6-18 months. You yourself are to blame for this, because the SSD must be used wisely and not constantly overwrite tons of information, because this is not a HDD that is designed to store information. It makes sense to put Windows, programs and a couple of games and EVERYTHING on an SSD, and not divide them into 2-5 disks and store photos from vacations in the country and at sea there. I will bury you in facts) Long survivability (5 years of service) No cons SKELET G: use Patriot Memory PBU120GS25SSDR more than year |
One of the most popular 2.5 format SSDs
Over the past couple of years, the Patriot Burst line has consistently been in the top sales of most east european online stores. Thank you for this, it is worth saying a combination of high speed, reliability and low price — it is actually sold at the price of Chinese SSDs from little-known brands. At the same time, the quality is in full order here. The control chip is the well-established Phison PS3111-S11 in the low-cost segment. At the time of release, this model was considered quite fast by the standards of 2.5 format solid-states: the write speed can reach 540 MB / s, and when reading it can rise to 560 MB / s. There is no separate buffer memory here, 32 MB is integrated into the controller itself.
On par with market leaders
If we talk about non-linear read speed, and about the ability to work with data arrays consisting of a bunch of small files, then here the Patriot is in full order: 60 IOPS for reading and writing is more than an adequate indicator for inexpensive SSDs. Other popular models like the Kingston A400 or the Crucial BX500 offer pretty much the same thing. Let this be lower than the performance of modern NVMe SSDs, but the price tag here is almost half as much.
Optimal speed, optimal volume
In our opinion, this is the best option for a relatively inexpensive computer: it will work noticeably faster than a conventional HDD, but at the same time, it will not be much slower than an expensive M.2 SSD. For example, in modern toys, the difference in download speed between such SSDs rarely exceeds 15-20%. Yes, and a volume of 480 GB should be enough for a computer that does not claim to be a gaming one. Plus, Patriot gives the drive a standard three-year warranty along with a decent 425TB Warranty Life (TBW).
