Actually, initially we were going to buy a microwave. But then my wife read all sorts of articles and reviews on the Internet and decided that microwaves are bad as hell, and cooking in the microwave is inconvenient. Of course, I was surprised, but I did not argue. The kitchen is her territory, the electric oven is the electric oven. We had a similar gas oven, but my wife did not like her very much. I don’t know if the stove was to blame or if my wife messed up, but the most ordinary yeast dough baking always turned into a medium-dramatic show. In short, I supported and financed the purchase of this separate oven. I can write about the advantages and disadvantages with full knowledge of the matter. I used to make pizza in it. Science is small, I bought a blank in a supermarket, moistened it with water at home, smeared it with a tomato, stuffed all sorts of things on it, put a couple of pieces of butter, sprinkled salt and grated cheese on top and drove it into a hot oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 180-190. So, at the exit it turned out just as tasty, as if I had gone to a good pizzeria. The oven is large and spacious. It heats up quickly. The control is old-school, completely mechanical)) There is no electronics or LCD screens in sight, I consider this a plus, since the voltage in our sockets sometimes jumps so that any poorly protected electronics then go crazy. It bakes evenly and there are two reasons for this: top + bottom heating and convection organized by a special fan. I also praise the timer with a loud signal. Eats a lot of electricity and, due to the large current consumed, a little melted the kitchen outlet. You can also use it to warm up, but the microwave copes with this task much faster. |
