Inexpensive gasoline generator for low load (0.8 kW in nominal mode, 1.2 kW in short-term mode). Equipped with a small (63 cm3) 2 hp engine, consuming about 0.4 liters of gasoline per hour. The device is a compact “cube” measuring 340x290x290 mm, which weighs only 15.5 kg (excluding fuel in a 4.2 liter tank). In parallel with its main function (generating alternating current for a 230 V outlet), the KRAFT&DELE KD109 generator can simultaneously recharge car batteries via wires included in the connector for 12 V DC. But it is slightly less convenient to use compared to more modern analogues of the same power class. The point is a two-stroke engine, because of which the tank should not be filled with pure AI-95 gasoline, but pre-mixed with special motor oil for two-stroke engines in a ratio of 1 to 50.

Basic option
A simple and inexpensive power plant KRAFT & DELE KD109 is designed to serve low-power consumers. In the nominal mode of operation, it "pulls" a load of 0.8 kW (in the short term it can withstand 1.2 kW). That is, you can connect to this generator either a small grinder or a drill, or a “garland” of a dozen not the brightest incandescent bulbs, but not all of the above at once. However, no one expects more from a small and so cheap generator.
Pros and cons of a two-stroke motor
As a power plant, this device uses a two-stroke engine with a capacity of two "horses", having a working volume of 63 cm3. This solution has both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, 2T motors are simple, cheap and repaired “on the knee”. But in operation, two-stroke gas generators are less convenient than four-stroke ones. For example, owners of KRAFT&DELE KD109 need to refuel the power plant not with pure gasoline, but with fuel pre-mixed with special oil in a ratio of 50:1. And you will never achieve truly quiet operation from a two-stroke, despite the low power of the motor. But in terms of gasoline consumption, this engine has a very moderate “appetite”. The manufacturer claims that the gas generator consumes no more than 0.4 liters of fuel per hour of operation. Therefore, a 4.2-liter gas tank should be enough for at least 10 hours of autonomous power supply.
Design and equipment
Electricity is generated by a synchronous alternator with an automatic voltage regulator (AVR), which does not allow too sharp “jumps” and deep “dips” in voltage at times when the load on the generator changes. The user can control the output current parameters using an analog voltmeter with an arrow (this is the only device on the front panel, and multifunctional digital displays are practically not found in equipment of this class). A single socket (230 V, 16 A) can be used to connect AC consumers. Next to it is also a connector for powering low-voltage devices operating on direct current (12 V). It can be used to charge car batteries (the cables required for this with a plug that matches the connector are immediately included in the kit).
