Smart, efficient and relatively inexpensive robotic vacuum cleaner for automatic cleaning of residential premises, introduced on the market by the popular Chinese company ILIFE. The model is equipped with a main and two side brushes, a camera for better navigation and an i-Voice voice assistant, which reports on the work done or an obstacle as it cleans. The voice assistant has contributed to the elimination of the display from the device body — now information about the status of the work is played aloud.

The ILIFE A8 household robot vacuum cleaner is designed for dry cleaning, so all the collected garbage falls into a small dust collector with a volume of 0.3 liters. To ensure that even the smallest dust particles do not fall back into the air, the manufacturer has provided a special HEPA fine filter. The robot is powered by a built-in battery, a full charge of which is enough for 90 minutes of continuous operation.

The discharged vacuum cleaner will automatically return to the docking station and fully recharge in 5 hours. To optimize cleaning and reduce energy costs, the smart device maps the space and builds the most efficient cleaning route. In this he is helped by special sensors for detecting obstacles and a fall protection system. If necessary, the product can be programmed for scheduled cleaning.

A good helper that exterminates dirt

I'm impressed with the amount of dirt the robot vacuum picks up. It is a mystery to the whole family where he finds all this. In the first week of use, it required a daily emptying of the trash can and a half-day cleaning of the filters. Brushes, filters and even the battery are easily accessible with a standard screwdriver. The robot is controlled by an infrared remote control, not a mobile application. The remote control has one catch - in order to programme the time and date, as well as the cleaning schedule, the robot must be in line of sight. The vacuum cleaner will beep and confirm the setting after the change. He announces every action. If the robot is low on power, is charging, has started cleaning, or is stuck, it will talk about it. During the night cleaning, he scared me a couple of times when he spoke. Already on the first launch, he moved back and forth in an organized manner, did not crash into walls and doors, sometimes collided with furniture. On the first day, he was unable to clean the entire floor without recharging the battery, but by the third day, he found the best way to clean the entire house and have enough battery backup. Cleaning usually takes about an hour, and the robot will always find its way back to the station when it's done.
