Additional features hob Gaggenau CI 261-112:
Recognition of the presence and diameter of dishes
Since only the bottom of the pot or pan is heated when cooking on an induction hob, pots or pans of different sizes can be used on the same hotplate. In this case, the induction system automatically recognizes the diameter of the bottom of the pan and heats only it. If you remove the pan from the hob during operation, the burner will automatically turn off.
Twist pad
The Twist-Pad control function is a movable magnetic knob for activating and controlling the burner controls. When you want to clean the panel, the handle is simply removed from the surface.
Automatic boiling
When automatic boiling is switched on, the heating power of the selected hotplate is briefly increased by 4 levels or up to the maximum setting. After 4 minutes, the hotplate automatically switches to the pre-set heat setting to continue cooking. If necessary, the duration of this function can be adjusted in the options menu.
Residual heat indicator
Each hotplate on Gaggenau glass-ceramic electric hobs has its own residual heat indicator. This safety device gives a signal that the hotplates have not yet cooled down at the end of use.
