This model is in between a shovel and a classic spade with a straight wooden handle; it is best to dig a deep hole for wood or a trench. If you have a curved shape, the bubbly soil can be easily removed from the depths, and also where to place it. A few times I had to use it to pry up the metal hatch cover, but it still didn’t bend. Having tried to dig up the old roots of fruit trees, through the curvature of the holder, the roots were cut into the depths of the clay.
