The CD60CE model from the legendary Fender company belongs to the manufacturer's low-cost line, being the embodiment of an almost perfect balance of price and quality. No wonder the CD60CE is one of the most popular electric acoustic guitars on the market.

Body and neck

The full-size dreadnought is made of mahogany on the bottom and sides, and spruce on the top (laminated throughout). The top is protected by a plastic pickguard. The 20-fret neck is carved from nato, a low-cost mahogany that is inferior in performance to mahogany, and the fretboard is from Indian rosewood.

The model is available in natural, black and sunburst.

Design features

The case is securely reinforced from the inside with an X-shaped design, which guarantees strength and protection against deformation. The strength of the neck is greatly facilitated by a double anchor. Of course, this makes the instrument somewhat heavier — however, it reliably holds the neck from both the slightest axial and “propeller” deviations. A set of chrome-plated tuning pegs is made by injection molding, so you can be sure of the stability of the tuning.

Electronics

A good, but not top-notch, Fishman Isys III preamp, paired with a 3-band equalizer, is responsible for the formation of a classic Fender sound, and the built-in tuner adds to the convenience of tuning.

Despite some shortcomings, the Fender CD60CE is one of the best deals on the market at the moment in this price segment. The sound and feature set you get for the money is too good to pass up on this instrument. Plus branded case included!
