The model, which replenished the SteamBake line of the Swedish manufacturer Electrolux in 2019, belongs to the solutions of the middle price level, but outwardly it looks very impressive. The control panel is represented by recessed switches and touch keys.

It will add convenience in operation and the Soft Closing auto-closer, which will make the door movements smooth and silent, eliminating the possibility of loose closing. Both 3-layer glazing and a cooling fan, which turns on at the beginning of the cooking cycle, are designed to reduce the heating of the front surfaces of the appliance.

Electrolux OED 5H70X with standard dimensions for embedding (as for a full-size oven) received a fairly large 72-liter chamber. The manufacturer claimed the possibility of simultaneous cooking on three levels, which is facilitated primarily by the presence of a convection fan with an annular heating element.

In convection modes, the appliance consumes an average of 0.81 kW of electricity per cycle, which corresponds to energy efficiency class A.

The oven offers 8 different modes that use both individual types of heating (lower and upper heaters, grill and convection airflow) and their combinations. SteamBake is recommended especially for home baking. The steam will allow the dough to fully rise, and the baked goods themselves will be softer, juicier and crispier.

The steam function is also useful for cleaning. Turning on the AquaClean mode will loosen dirt, grease and food residue on the walls, reducing cleaning time.

Electrolux OED 5H70X is an interesting member of the family of well-equipped steam ovens. If you are interested in more advanced devices, then you should pay attention, for example, to the Electrolux OKD 6P71X, but its price is also higher.
