The Dometic Waeco thermobox is a plastic container with a usable volume of 22 liters. It should be enough for a small family for a picnic, a weekend outing or a short camping trip. Meat for barbecue, a good supply of soft drinks, fish caught in a pond, etc. will fit here.

The model is not heavy (4.2 kg) and not bulky (37x39x31 cm), so frequent movements will not cause much trouble. Plus, this scenario is taken into account in the design itself: the handles are complemented by a shoulder strap.

In addition to the Dometic Waeco WCI-22, there are both a more compact 13-liter modification — WCI-13 (suitable for one-day business trips) and impressive volume models, up to 110 liters for WCI-110 (for long-term parking in nature).

High-quality thermal insulation

Dense foam material is responsible for keeping the cold here. According to the manufacturer, the labyrinth seal design Labyrinth Seal Design is implemented in the thermobox, designed to improve thermal insulation. The maximum cold storage period is 10 days (240 hours). In summer, it is hardly worth counting on such figures, but, according to reviews, indicators in the region of 120 hours at an air temperature of around 23 °C are quite achievable.

Additional boxing features include a seamless manufacturing technology for the inner chamber. This has a positive effect not only on thermal insulation, but also on mechanical strength, as well as ease of maintenance.

The disadvantages include the high cost. For similar money, you can take and comparable in volume car refrigerators of the initial class. But if high reliability and extreme ease of use are a priority, then the Dometic Waeco WCI-22 is an excellent option for keeping cold away from sockets (and even cigarette lighters).
