The cases of the devices have an ultra-small thickness (less than 12 mm) and a low weight of 1210 g. The manufacturer positions them as premium class devices of the 2018 model year, capable of satisfying the requirements of the most demanding users. They are direct competitors to the Apple MacBook line. As a hardware basis, the eighth generation Intel Core platform is used in the form of high-performance 4-core Core i5 / i7 processors with improved multi-threaded performance, implemented using Intel Hyper-Threading technology. The base amount of RAM in the Dell XPS 13 9370 laptop models is 8 GB, the maximum is 16 GB. The 13.3-inch thin-frame screen of most models uses Full HD IPS matrices, and the top modifications received ultra-high-resolution 4K IPS panels. The resulting pixel density is 331 PPI, which is comparable to the screens of top smartphones in 2018. Thanks to the glossy anti-reflective coating of Gorilla Glass IV, the image is characterized by the highest detail, good colour reproduction and the widest possible viewing angles. The laptops are equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi adapter 802.11ac with support for the 5 GHz band, and three USB Type-C ports (1xUSB 3.1 Gen 1 and 2xUSB 3.1 Gen 2). The capacious battery provides up to 14 hours of battery life.
