Brightness is adjustable and can be set to maximum or normal. I sometimes turn on the maximum, but not often. Usually, the normal mode is enough for the eyes. It also has good impact protection. The glass around the perimeter is covered with a well-protruding metal aluminium edging. There are two chargers in the kit - car and for operation from a 220v network. The battery from the kit is a rare piece of nonsense. Even in normal mode, it lasts only an hour and a half. I had to buy branded Sony.
