Balanced microATX motherboard for AMD AM4 platform based on mid-range B450 chipset. Refers to products of the 2018 model year from the gaming series Asus TUF - The Ultimate Force. Designed to work with AMD Ryzen 1st and 2nd generation processors, including models equipped with integrated Radeon Vega graphics and Athlon 200GE. Equipped with a full range of up-to-date system and peripheral interfaces, it has a well-thought-out layout and modest overall dimensions (244x244 mm), which make it possible to mount it in relatively compact microATX cases.
The Asus TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING motherboard is positioned by the manufacturer as a mid-price product designed to create performant gaming configurations. It has overclocking functions that allow you to operate the key elements of the system in a reasonable overclocking mode (without a significant increase in the supply voltage). Equipped with 4 slots for installing DDR4-2933/2666/2400/2133 memory modules with a total capacity of up to 64 GB. It has one high-speed M.2 port for connecting NVMe SSD drives and 6 SATA3 ports for standard SSD / HDD drives. Communication capabilities are provided by the Realtek RTL8111H gigabit network controller. The audio subsystem is based on the Realtek ALC887-VD2 7.1-channel HDA codec with an improved and additionally shielded analogue path.

But there are also positive aspects. For example, this is my first motherboard in a long time, in which it has problems with sound. Before that, I had a Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3V motherboard (for Intel Kaby Lake processors), and before that I had an ASRock 970 Extreme4 (AM3+ socket). And both were just terrible pickups when outputting sound through the built-in sound card. Squeaks, squeaks and other noises were so strong that it was impossible to listen to music either through headphones or through speakers, which is why I had to buy a separate sound card. In this motherboard, the sound is absolutely clear. But you still have to use a separate sound card, because the built-in power is not enough for my old Sennheiser HD 201 headphones. Also, the UEFI BIOS is also not bad. Although it is not perfect, it is much more convenient and more beautiful than in my previous Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3V.
