It was necessary to secure a small office (three computers) from a sudden blackout and power surges / power failures. I considered different options, but oddly enough I settled on this, almost the most expensive one. Yes, in terms of reliability, one UPS for three computers loses a lot to three low-power UPSs. But this is APC, so there is no point in comparing it with some deshman Chinese a la Logicpower. They are even happy to put zashkvarno))) Clear stabilization, the output is less than 215 and more than 228 does not happen. The Chinese are much inferior in this regard, and I had to see 195 of them. Switches to batteries very quickly and transparently for computers. It also effectively filters noise. The sine wave when powered by batteries is very high quality, APC keeps the brand. Computers that are powered by it along with monitors consume approximately 500-750W, depending on activity. When switching to batteries, the charge lasts for 12-15 minutes, I personally tested it. So this time is enough for saving and regular shutdown. Equipped with a USB port that connects to one of the computers. Automatic shutdown is configured through it, but it's still better to do it manually. There is a cold start, i.e. you can start computers from a charged uninterruptible power supply, even if there is no voltage in the network. Too early to switch to low battery power. Already at about 175V a warning sounds and a switchover occurs. But its upper limit is higher than on cheap counterparts, which switch at about 260-265 volts. And here it honestly works up to 280. True, in real life this is not necessary, we don’t have such voltages in our network. |
installed such a model in the office (6 computers are constantly working). the device is quite large and heavy, however, because it does not need to be carried in a jacket pocket, so this is not a problem. but looks serious. there is a display that shows information about the state of the uninterruptible power supply. at which it can also display the approximate time during which the device will be able to provide the desired voltage. and in general it has a bunch of different settings, the usefulness of more than half of which raises serious doubts. All computers connected without problems and work stably. of course, there were some difficulties with the wires, but this is no longer related to the device itself. power surges occur regularly (this is even noticeable by lighting), but this practically does not affect computers in any way. it is very good that after a complete blackout of the office, computers still run on battery power for a few more minutes. everyone manages to save everything they need, there is no danger of losing the work done. there is almost always a lot of talk in the office, so the noise of the uninterruptible power supply is almost inaudible. but there are moments when everyone works on computers in silence, and then the noise is already noticeable. I wouldn't say it's annoying or annoying, but it's still there. the price is high, perhaps even overpriced (there are similar devices on the market with a lower price tag). |
