A powerful 256 GB M.2 (PCI-E 4x) SSD in a compact M.2 2280 format. It is positioned as a mid-range product designed to equip mid-range / high-end personal computers, laptops and workstations. It features decent I/O performance (220k/290k IOPS), high read/write speed (3500/1200 Mbps), and fast random block access time. The A-Data XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 SSD ASX8200PNP-256GT-C is based on the advanced Silicon Motion SM2262EN eight-channel controller, working with a 256 MB DDR3-1600 DRAM buffer. Micron's high-quality 64-layer TLC 3D NAND flash memory is used for data storage. Full-speed operation of the device is guaranteed on motherboards with an M.2 connector that supports the PCI-E 3.0 x4 interface (NVM Express version 1.3). High-speed SLC write caching of up to 8 GB is provided, which guar...antees the drive's superior performance as a system drive in typical home/professional use scenarios. The guaranteed recording resource claimed by the manufacturer is 160 TB, which corresponds to a daily data recording in the amount of 43 GB for 10 years.

Good price/performance ratio. Alternative to the vaunted Samsung.

The speed of work suits. On a working computer, there is memory from Samsung, which is significantly more expensive. I did not feel the difference in reading or writing time. All programs, toys are loaded instantly. Heating in operation is about 35-40°C.
Speed, price. The kit includes a radiator bracket.
Haven't found it yet.
good model, I liked it

Full volume 477 GB. 2800 for reading and 2400 for writing (which is slightly higher than what they promise). In principle, everything suits, but what do you want, the first ssd, does it make sense to say ooo how fast after the hard drive, where the speed is 20 times less?) Crosshair 6 and 1700 system, Win 10 LTSC, if this is important
If you do not rape with benchmarks, then in principle it is not hot. Simple 38, after running Crystal Disk Mark - 57, in normal operation somewhere in the middle. Throttling starts at about 70 degrees (speeds drop by almost 2 times), but in everyday use it is impossible to warm it up like that. The write speed turned out to be higher than the declared one (2400+ against the promised 2300). Perhaps this is the best m.2 ssd for the money (I took it to AKC for 2180 UAH)
You have only ONE attempt to glue the "radiator" evenly and beautifully (I lost :), the reading speed is lower than stated, but maybe I still don't know something, it seems like the old controller is here, not all the space is distributed, and I only tested with one bench. Don't worry, I'm happy with my purchase

Dual channel RAM cache

The ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro is one of the fastest 256GB PCI-E 3.0 4x SSDs available. It is based on the popular SM2262EN dual-core controller with support for 512MB dual-channel RAM and 32-bit bandwidth.

Sequential read speed 3500 Mbps

A powerful controller and fast RAM cache have a positive effect on IOPS, that is, the number of read and write operations per second — 290 and 220K, respectively. The XPG SX8200 Pro uses 3D TLC NAND flash memory, which shows a speed of 3500 MB / s in Crystal Disk Mark sequential read tests. This is a serious indicator, which actually does not differ from the claimed passport data and actually rests on the bandwidth of the PCI-E 3.0 4x bus. For comparison, the reference Samsung Evo 970 has the same 3500 Mbps.

Limitations of an SLC array

But the write speed here is much lower and is 1200 MB / s. This is 2 times lower than that of Samsung and approximately the same level as other drives operating on the PCI-E 3.0 bus. In addition, due to the use of TLC memory, a high write speed is maintained only until the volume of the virtual SLC array is exceeded, which is 15 percent of the storage capacity. After the array overflows, the speed decreases by about a quarter and the disk needs time to recover. However, this is a problem with most relatively inexpensive SSDs. But bundled with the XPG SX8200 Pro, the manufacturer gives an extended five-year warranty.
